GENERAL CONSTRUCTION

Hull and deck moulded in GRP with balsa core for sound and heat insulation under Lloyds supervision. All materials used approved by Lloyds. Lloyds hull construction certificate. Self draining cockpit. 3,500kg, 77161bs lead ballast fully encapsulated in keel. Glassfibre rudder with stainless steel stock and hinged tiller, or wheel steering with emergency tiller. Teak exterior woodwork comprising toerail, cockpit grating, cockpit seats, washboards, grabrails. 6 toughened glass windows in alloy frames. opening ports from aft cabin to cockpit. Teak bridgedeck. Special safety latch on companionway.

Spars and rigging

Anodised alloy mast stepped on keel with internal halyards and single spreaders. Anodised alloy boom with internal slab reefing complete with stoppers and clew outhaul. Main boom vang. Stainless steel 1 x 19 standing rigging with swaged end terminals. Backstay wheel adjuster. Wire halyards with braidline tails, colour coded. Mainsheet of Terylene. Genoa sheet of Terylene. Stainless steel bottle screws. Burgee halyard. 2 x signal halyards. Three Terylene reefing lines colour coded.

Winches
  • 2 x Lewmar 44st two speed self tailing genoa winches (chromed bronze)
  • 1 xLewmar 40 main halyard winch (2 speed) 1 x Lewmar 40 genoa halyard winch (2 speed).
  • One Lewmar 30st self tailing reefing winch. 1 x Lewmar 30st self tailing mainsheet winch
Sails

 

Mainsail, N6.2 genoa, staysail and storm jib complete with battens, bags, insignia and number. All sails triple stitched. Mainsail cover. Optional furling headsail in lieu of No.2 genoa and staysail. Optional furling mainsail in lieu of standard.

 

Deck fittings

Stainless steel pulpit and pushpit with 61omm (24in) stainless steel stanchions in Lewmar bases. Double stainless steel safety wires. Harness attachment points (4) in cockpit. Four large alloy mooring cleats. Four large alloy fairleads. Cockpit cleats. Alloy forehatch and opening centre hatch. Stainless steel stemhead fitting with drop nose pin and two rollers (one bronze, one nylon) Provision by means of pad in anchor well for optional anchor winch. 4 x Ventlights in coachroof. Heavy duty bilge pump fitted in cockpit. Anchor well. Perspex main hatch with louvred teak washboards and special lock. 2 x bulkhead compasses with lights or pedestal compass for wheel steering. Liferaft and gas bottle stowage (fully ventilated with space for two bottles) in cockpit. 2 x cockpit drains with seacocks. Stainless steel forestay and genoa tack fitting. Genoa track on side decks with roller cars. Stainless steel bathing ladder in pushpit.

Below decks

Interior woodwork is teak faced ply with teak cappings and teak and holly striped floor. Teak grabhandles throughout. Galley fitted with double bowl stainless steel sink, fresh water pump and pressurised hot and cold water (hot water by calorifier). Gimballed gas cooker with oven, grill and two burners. Provision for optional four burner stove in galley design. Food lockers, insulated ice box with refrigeration compressor, crockery lockers and shelves, cutlery drawers, provision for gash bin. Large chart table with hinged lid, chart stowage under. Drawers and locker under chart table. Navigator's seat with locker under. Bookshelf and lockers outboard.

Aft Cabin

Opening ports to cockpit, double bunk with large lockers under, converting to two singles for use at sea. Access to engine. Full hanging locker. Seat, locker under and shelf outboard. Floor access to bilge. Oilskin locker draining to bilge. Mirror.
Saloon

 

 

To port, U shaped settee with lockers under and lockers and shelves outboard. Sturdy folding table converts settee into large double bunk. Deep buttoned, foam filled cloth or vinyl covered bunk cushions throughout. Padded backrests remove to form double bunk infill. To starboard single settee berth with pull out for extra width, locker under. Pilot berth outboard with hinged leeboard to 45 0 for extra width. Lockers under. All bunks have leecloths.

 

 

Heads

Fully moulded unit with rounded edges for ease of cleaning. Hand basin, pressurised hot and cold water and shower. Blake Lavac WC. Teak floor grating with shower tray under. Mirror. Lockers. Large hanging lockers and shelves opposite.

 


Forecabin

Two berths with deep buttoned foam filled cushions. Removeable infill to form double bunk. Stowage under. Locker and shelves over feet. Separate locker and shelves to starboard make forecabin comfortable and self contained.

 


Throughout interior, where visible, the hull sides are fully teak battened for prevention of condensation and in keeping with high quality tradition.


 

ENGINE

 


Watermota Sea Panther four stroke, 30hp 4 cylinder diesel, coolud by fresh water heat exchange with calorifier to produce hot water. 25 gallon fuel tank. Remote throttle and gear control. Stainless steel shaft. Remote stern gland greaser. Two bladed propeller in aperture. Sump and drain cocks to fuel tank. Copper fuel pipe with flexible connection to engine. Fuel filter fitted between tank and engine. De luxe engine control panel with ammeter, tachometer and oil pressure and water temperature gauge. Electric starting. Engine fully insulated to highest standard.


 

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

 


12v system with two 90ah Freedom non spill, non fill batteries with three way isolating switch, alternator, glassfibre battery box and circuit breaker Searace switchboard. Fbrt and starboard divided navigation light on pulpit. Stern light on pushpit. Deck and steaming lights. Two berth lights in forecabin. One flexible chart light. One overhead light in heads. In saloon one overhead light and three berth lights. One overhead light in galley. One overhead light in chart table area. One overhead light and one berth light in aft cabin. All overhead lights have alternate red shades for night passages.

 

SUNDRY EQUIPMENT

 


351b plough anchor. 9m (5fm) 8mm (5/16ths) galvanised chain and 36m (120ft) nylon warp. 2 x 24m (80ft) nylon warps. Three plastic fenders with rope tails.


 

COLOURS

 


Standard specification is white hull with Signal Red caveta line and boot top and Parchment (beige) side decks and coachroof. A wide range of colours is available at a small extra charge. Standard specification includes antifouling and painting name on transom.
